My name is Justine, and all of my interests revolve around food: I like to cook, eat, exercise, write, and entertain. By day I am a university development writer, and by night (or in any other spare moment) I write and maintain this blog.
I fell in love with food when I was a little girl. In 6th grade, my mom let my best friend and I cook an entire Italian-themed meal from Teen Magazine for my family, and I’ve been hooked on entertaining ever since! Some of my favorite things to cook are holiday dishes from various cultures. During the holidays is when the cooks of the family really pull out all the stops and whip up their loved ones’ favorite traditional dishes. The amount of time, love, and work put into these meals is just so inspiring and I think it’s such a great window into a culture. On a daily basis, I love to come up with fresh, simple to make from-scratch recipes that are easy to track for those who like to count their macros/calories.
Dustin and I love to entertain, whether its a room-full of guests or just the two of us. I cook, Dustin mixes cocktails, and we both enjoy learning from others (like you!) and sharing with others.
We live in the Boston area with our two fur balls: Ambrose the moody yet secretly affectionate cat, and Mabel, our crazy-pants clown of a Boston Terrier.
On Dinner Geeks, you’ll find all of our favorite food and drinks, along with some really interesting things we’re exploring or trying out at the moment. I’ll be posting about our travels, our kitchen adventures, and our get togethers with friends and family.
